Scrubsquad Terms of Service
Effective August 2026
By booking or receiving services from Scrubsquad, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms apply to all inspections, estimates, and cleaning appointments. A link to these terms is included with all estimates. The current version of these terms is always available at seattlescrubsquad.com/terms.html.
1. Scope of Service
Scrubsquad offers residential cleaning services including standard cleaning, deep cleaning, move-in/move-out cleaning, and add-on services. A full description of each service tier is available at seattlescrubsquad.com/services.html.
The scope of work for any cleaning appointment is limited to what was discussed and agreed upon during the inspection and reflected on the invoice. Services, areas, or tasks not explicitly included in the inspection discussion and invoice are outside the scope of that appointment and will not be performed. Requests to expand scope on the day of service may be accommodated at Scrubsquad's discretion and will be subject to additional charges.
2. Client Conduct
Scrubsquad staff have the right to work in a safe, respectful environment during all visits, including inspections and cleaning appointments. The standards in this section apply to the client and to any other occupants or individuals present on the premises during a Scrubsquad visit.
All persons present during a Scrubsquad visit are expected to:
- Be appropriately dressed. All occupants must be clothed in a reasonable and modest manner during any Scrubsquad visit. Exposed undergarments, nudity, or clothing soiled in a manner that presents a health concern do not meet this standard.
- Conduct themselves in a respectful and professional manner toward Scrubsquad staff at all times.
- Refrain from harassment, threats, intimidation, or any inappropriate verbal, physical, or sexual conduct directed at Scrubsquad staff.
Pets: Scrubsquad is pet-friendly. However, if a pet displays aggressive, threatening, or significantly disruptive behavior during a visit, the client will be asked to secure the pet in a separate area or remove it from the space being serviced. If the client is unable or unwilling to do so, Scrubsquad reserves the right to terminate the visit. A cancellation fee will apply in such cases. See Section 3.
Failure to meet the standards in this section during any visit — including an inspection — may result in immediate termination of the visit and refusal of future service. See Section 7.
3. Booking & Cancellations
Appointments must be cancelled or rescheduled no later than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time. Cancellations or reschedules made after that window has passed will be subject to a $50 cancellation fee. No-shows — where Scrubsquad staff arrive and cannot access or make contact with the client — will be treated as a late cancellation and subject to the same fee.
Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in suspension or termination of service at Scrubsquad's discretion. See Section 7.
4. Property Access
Clients are responsible for ensuring Scrubsquad staff can access the property at the scheduled appointment time. Accepted access methods include client presence, lockbox, or a provided key or entry code.
If Scrubsquad staff arrive and are unable to access the property due to missing, incorrect, or unworkable access information, a $50 lockout fee will be charged and the appointment will be forfeited. Clients are responsible for the accuracy of all access information provided to Scrubsquad. Scrubsquad is not liable for any outcomes resulting from incorrect access details provided by the client.
5. Payment Terms
Payment is due in full on the date of service. Clients who arrange multi-appointment packages in advance — such as prepaying for a series of recurring cleanings — are expected to remit full payment for the package on the date of the first service in that package.
Invoices not paid within 5 business days of the due date will be subject to a $50 late fee. Scrubsquad reserves the right to suspend or terminate service for accounts with outstanding unpaid balances. See Section 7.
6. Health & Safety
Scrubsquad staff will not perform services under conditions that present a risk to their health or safety. Conditions that may result in refusal or termination of service include, but are not limited to:
- Active pest or insect infestations
- The presence of biohazardous materials, including but not limited to bodily fluids, sewage, or mold requiring remediation
- Extreme clutter or hoarding conditions that prevent safe movement through the property
- Structural conditions that present a risk of injury
- Environmental conditions that make the property unsafe to work in, such as extreme temperatures resulting from non-functioning climate control
If any of the above conditions are identified during a visit, Scrubsquad staff may terminate the appointment. A fee may apply depending on the stage of service at the time of termination. See Section 7.
7. Right to Refuse or Terminate Service
Scrubsquad reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or permanently terminate service to any client at its sole discretion. Grounds include, but are not limited to:
- Client or occupant conduct violations, including inappropriate dress, harassment, threats, intimidation, or inappropriate behavior toward staff (see Section 2)
- Pet-related safety concerns where the client is unable or unwilling to secure the animal (see Section 2)
- Health or safety conditions at the property (see Section 6)
- Scope mismatch where the property or requested work significantly exceeds what was represented during the inspection
- Outstanding unpaid balances or a history of non-payment (see Section 5)
- Repeated late cancellations, no-shows, or lockouts (see Sections 3 and 4)
- Any condition or behavior that Scrubsquad determines poses a risk to the safety or well-being of its staff
Where service is refused or terminated due to client or occupant conduct, no refund will be issued for any portion of service already rendered. Where refusal occurs before service begins due to property conditions not caused by the client, Scrubsquad will communicate next steps on a case-by-case basis.
8. Satisfaction Policy
Scrubsquad is committed to quality work. If a client is unsatisfied with any aspect of a completed service, Scrubsquad must be notified within 24 hours of the appointment. Concerns reported after this window will not be eligible for remedy under this policy.
Where a reported concern falls within the scope of the services agreed upon and invoiced, Scrubsquad will address the issue either at the next scheduled appointment or, where appropriate, by returning to the property to correct it. Concerns related to tasks or areas outside the agreed scope of service are not covered under this policy and will be subject to standard add-on service rates if the client wishes to have them addressed.
9. Damage & Liability
Scrubsquad takes care in handling all items and areas within the scope of service. In the event of damage caused by Scrubsquad staff during a service appointment, the following applies:
- All damage claims must be reported to Scrubsquad within 24 hours of the service appointment. Claims reported after this window will not be accepted.
- Scrubsquad's liability, if established, is limited to the reasonable cost of repair or replacement of the damaged item, up to the total amount paid for the service appointment in question.
- Scrubsquad is not liable for damage to items that were already in a state of disrepair or had pre-existing damage prior to service, or to items that clients were advised to secure or remove before the appointment and did not.
- Scrubsquad is not liable for outcomes resulting from pre-existing conditions at the property.
Scrubsquad's total liability to any client, for any reason, shall not exceed the total amount paid for the service appointment in which the issue arose. Scrubsquad is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind.
10. Photography & Privacy
Scrubsquad takes client privacy seriously. Scrubsquad staff do not photograph client properties under any circumstances without the client's explicit prior consent. In cases where a client grants permission for documentation — such as recording the condition of the property prior to service — any images collected are used solely for internal recordkeeping purposes and are never shared, published, or used for any other purpose.
Scrubsquad collects only the client information necessary to provide services, including name, address, contact information, and service history. This information will not be sold, shared, or disclosed to third parties except as required by law. Clients may contact Scrubsquad at info@seattlescrubsquad.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of their information.
11. Non-Solicitation
Clients agree not to directly solicit, hire, or privately contract with any Scrubsquad staff member or associate they were introduced to or became acquainted with through Scrubsquad, for a period of 12 months following their most recent Scrubsquad service appointment. This restriction applies solely to Scrubsquad personnel and does not extend to any other individuals or service providers the client may know independently. Violation of this policy may result in Scrubsquad seeking damages for the loss of that staff member or associate.
12. Changes to These Terms
Scrubsquad reserves the right to update or modify these terms at any time. The current version will always be posted at seattlescrubsquad.com/terms.html. Continued use of Scrubsquad services following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Clients are encouraged to review these terms periodically.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington and, where applicable, the ordinances of King County. Any disputes arising from these terms or from services provided by Scrubsquad shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of King County, Washington.
